On Wednesday 23rd November we will be holding the official launch of "Fish Pie and Laughter" and we are delighted that the Mayor of Reading, Councillor Raiz Chaudhri will be joining us for this auspicious occasion. The book which comprises a collection of articles, short stories and some poetry, was written by a group of 5 ladies who met on a writing course and within 12 months set up their own publishing company and produced their own book! 
Eileen, Elaine, Vera, Julie and Eve used to meet at the Chequers in Watlington and they produced 5 new stories for the book each month. These stories cover a broad spectrum of themes from the arrest of Vera's two naughty labradors by Henley police to Julie's husband's crazy journey under Reading in a canoe. You can order a copy of the book from Jeeve Publishing (created using the ladies' initials) at PO box 2696, Reading, RG1 9BQ. The book costs £6.50 + £1 p&p and their chosen charity is the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust.
